STANDARD OF THE WESTSIDE AT BUTTERCUP CREEK MODIFICATION COMMITTEE
Subject: Tree Removal
Date: February 10, 2012
The following standards clarify what steps should be taken in the event that a tree must be removed from your property.
DEAD OR DISEASED TREE REMOVAL
No approval needed from anyone.
LIVE TREE REMOVAL UNDER 16” DIAMETER AT 4.5 FEET ABOVE GROUND
Must have Modification Committee or HOA Board approval unless it is to be removed for a permanent improvement in that location, or to permit construction of drainage swales, in which case the project itself would need to be approved. If the project is approved, the tree can be removed.
LIVE HARDWOOD TREE REMOVAL WITH A GREATER THAN 16” DIAMETER 4.5 FEET ABOVE GROUND
Must obtain a permit from the City of Cedar Park (CEDAR PARK ORDINANCE #98-027) in addition to having Modification Committee or HOA Board approval, unless it is to be removed for a permanent improvement in that location, or to permit construction of drainage swales, in which case the project itself would need to be approved by the Modification Committee or HOA Board. If the project is approved by the Modification Committee and HOA Board, and a permit is obtained from the city, the tree can be removed.
